As our Fire Suppression Technician, you will be responsible for a wide variety of in-field fire services such as installing, inspecting, maintaining, modifying, and servicing fire protection equipment and fire suppression systems at commercial, industrial, and institutional sites. Some of the additional expectations of this role include:

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, specifications, schematics, and operational/product manuals;
  • Evaluating plans, customer requests, code, and non-conformance issues to determine specific solutions and recommendations for customers and management;
  • Preparing stock materials for daily execution of assigned work orders and optimizing material utilization;
  • Supporting take off's and preparing proposals/quotations as required;
  • Completing daily reports of completed work orders and activities;
  • Ensuring safe work practices are followed safety leadership is demonstrated in all aspects of the job;
  • Mentoring other team members including trainees and field service labour; and
  • Participating in 24/7 on-call/call out emergency service.

The successful candidate must be a professional, highly motivated, self-starter with a keen attention to detail and the ability to safely execute high quality work on-time, every time. You will bring strong communication and customer service skills, with an ability to work both collaboratively with team members, as well as independently, to deliver high quality service and support to our customers. Given the service and solutions focus of our business, you will also be able to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and flexibility to address changing situations and priorities. A mechanical aptitude and a demonstrated mindset towards continuous learning, as well as an ability to use/learn technology solutions in the execution of their work is a must. You must also possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel to and work out of remote client sites. Overtime and overnight travel will be required; therefore, hours of work/schedule will vary.

A candidate with a minimum of 2+ years' field experience across various industries and a diploma in a mechanical trade would be preferred. Fire service certifications and/or suppression training would be considered an asset. Combinations of education in a related field and experience will be considered. Note: Candidates who advance through the hiring process will be required to submit a current Certificate of Conduct and Driver's abstract.

Nous avons accès à une multitudes de marques de manufacturiers propre à notre industrie. Soit pour la protection incendie 24/7/365, les installations d'équipements de suppression et la mise en service et certification de ces équipements.

En tant que technicien - suppression des incendies, vous serez responsable d'une grande variété de services d'incendie sur le terrain, tels que l'installation, l'inspection, la maintenance, la modification et l'entretien des équipements de protection contre les incendies et des systèmes d'extinction des incendies sur des sites commerciaux, industriels et institutionnels. Voici quelques-unes des attentes additionnelles de ce poste:

  • Lire et interpréter des diagrammes, des spécifications, des schémas et des manuels d'exploitation/de produits;
  • Évaluer les plans, les demandes des clients, les codes et les problèmes de non-conformité afin de déterminer des solutions et des recommandations spécifiques pour les clients et la direction;
  • Préparer le matériel en stock pour l'exécution quotidienne des mandats de travail assignés et optimiser l'utilisation du matériel;
  • Soutenir les mises en opération et préparer les propositions/soumissions le cas échéant;
  • Remplir des rapports quotidiens sur les demandes de travail et les activités réalisés;
  • S'assurer que les pratiques de travail sécuritaires sont suivies et que le leadership en matière de sécurité est démontré dans tous les aspects du travail;
  • Encadrer les autres membres de l'équipe, y compris les stagiaires et la main-d'œuvre de sous-traitances;
  • Participer au service d'urgence sur appel et hors appel 24/7.

Le candidat retenu doit être un professionnel, très motivé, autonome, ayant un grand souci du détail et capable d'exécuter en toute sécurité un travail de haute qualité dans les délais impartis, à chaque fois. Vous possédez de solides compétences en matière de communication et de service à la clientèle, ainsi qu'une capacité à travailler en collaboration avec les membres de l'équipe et de manière indépendante, afin de fournir un service et un soutien de haute qualité à nos clients. Étant donné que notre activité est axée sur les services et les solutions, vous serez également en mesure de faire preuve de solides compétences en matière de résolution de problèmes et de flexibilité pour faire face à des situations et des priorités changeantes. Une aptitude à la mécanique et un esprit d'apprentissage continu, ainsi qu'une capacité à utiliser/apprendre des solutions technologiques dans l'exécution de leur travail sont indispensables. Vous devez également posséder un permis de conduire valide et être en mesure de vous déplacer et de travailler sur des sites clients éloignés. Des heures supplémentaires et des déplacements de nuit seront nécessaires ; par conséquent, les heures de travail et l'horaire varieront.

Un candidat possédant un minimum de deux ans et plus d'expérience sur le terrain dans diverses industries et un diplôme dans un métier mécanique serait préférable. Des certifications de service d'incendie et/ou une formation en suppression seraient considérées comme un atout. Une combinaison d'études dans un domaine connexe et d'expérience sera prise en considération. Remarque : Les candidats qui franchissent les étapes du processus d'embauche devront présenter un certificat de conduite et un permis de conduire à jour.
