The Analysis and Business Solutions team is looking for a candidate to join as a Senior Actuarial Advisor. Are you interested in working in a multi-disciplinary team with people from various backgrounds (actuaries, data scientists, data specialists) in a motivating environment in which we focus on developing our people? Then you may be the one we are looking for More specifically, you will be required to :
  • Lead and construct complex mandates by diagnosing the issue and advising on potential solutions
  • Keep on pace with new advancements in advanced analytics and applying them to your work
  • Communicate the assumptions and results of your analyses effectively to various internal stakeholders and management
  • Represent the actuarial department on decision-making committees or in meetings
  • Act as the subject matter expert and a reference source in your field for other teams in the organization
  • Coach more junior members of the team

What you bring to the table
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of seven years in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Experience in P&C insurance
  • Knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec
  • Advanced knowledge of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of SAS, VBA, R
