What is the opportunity?

Reporting to the Associate Director, Implementation & Analytics, you will be joining a team of highly skilled individuals with many years of experience and be responsible for the development, integration and implementation of longevity reinsurance data as a strategic asset for RBC while developing a data management strategy in order to build a competitive advantage that provides for Sustainable Growth with Exceptional Client Experience.

What will you do?
• Perform data analysis, provide insights and recommendations on annual reviews and data cleanses
• Write queries to efficiently and accurately integrate customer data from a variety of data sources into organizational record keeping system and ensure smooth transition to administration
• Integrate new tools and software to streamline processes and improve efficiency, working methods, and culture within the team
• Test and validate new and existing reports and analytics for adherence to business and technical requirements, collaborate with stakeholders to resolve data issues within the record keeping system
• Create and maintain accurate documentation related to reporting solutions, including specifications, data lineage, technical and business definitions for metrics and test plan/test cases
• Interface with internal clients to gain insights on how information is consumed by the audience; provide ad hoc analytics and recommendations for action as needed

What do you need to succeed?

Must have
• University Degree in Actuarial Science, Business, Mathematic or Statistics, Computer Science or Data Science
• Proven record of sound risk assessment & advanced data analytical skills
• Strong working and hands on experience with database and big data technology, such as SQL, Python, Tableau and VBA
• Progressive experience in data analytics cycle (data gathering, transformation, modeling, analytics, and reporting)

Nice to have
• Minimum 2 years of experience in reinsurance or pension operations or valuation or group risk management is preferred
• Moody's Analytics AXIS Actuarial System
• Pursuing actuarial designations is nice to have but is not required
• Able to drive creative solutions, with proven ability to think 'outside of the box' and the vision to innovate current processes and solution
• Keen ability to deliver on tight timelines with a supported track record

Special Conditions

This role will require a minimum of 3 days in the office.
