Financial Systems Lead | ERP | SAP | Hybrid

Our client is looking to hire a Financial Systems Lead to lead the optimization, utilization and effectiveness of the financial ERP and related systems within the organization and acts as support for finance team members. This is a permanent and hybrid position.

This pivotal role leads the way in driving and executing initiatives aimed at enhancing finance processes, automating systems, and making data-driven decisions. It plays a crucial part in improving organizational efficiency and performance. Additionally, responsibilities include generating reports, conducting financial analyses, and managing documentation for policies, processes, and systems. Working closely with IT and the Manager of Business Change and Implementation, the role guarantees smooth enhancements and upgrades to financial systems, with a focus on integration, data integrity, and enabling advanced reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities
Oversee financial systems projects from inception to completion, including requirements gathering, testing, and deployment
Translate finance business needs into clear requirements suitable for Agile methodologies
Assess system changes' impacts on user and customer experiences, providing business and technical recommendations
Foster strong partnerships with key stakeholders to ensure high-quality system configurations and integrations
Validate testing processes and support the finance systems portfolio
Proactively address system issues and propose innovative solutions for efficiency
Maintain data integrity and stay updated on system releases and best practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine financial systems and processes
Monitor financial systems performance and resolve discrepancies or inefficiencies
Lead change management initiatives for system updates and enhancements
Provide end-user support, training, and documentation for the finance systems portfolio
Prepare and maintain documentation aligned with organizational policies and compliance standards
Develop reports and dashboards to improve decision-making and operational efficiency
Support chart of accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes
Assist with finance and accounting duties, including monthly reporting and variance analysis
Support annual audit processes and represent the Finance Manager on projects
Align project activities with strategic financial objectives and manage dependencies
Implement project management best practices within the finance team
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, Business Administration or a related field
5-8 years of finance and accounting experience
Expertise in ERP systems like SAP ByDesign and Salesforce
Proficient in financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis
Strong technical skills in data integration and system customization
Demonstrated project management and business analysis abilities, PMP certification preferred
Familiarity with Agile practices and ERP integration
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and advanced Excel
Experience with financial/IT system audits beneficial
