Identify high-cost drivers in the schedule and rectify through schedule re-work or adjustments
Take initiative in identifying schedule opportunities and risks, and implementing solutions
Identify current and anticipated bottlenecks due to manpower, assess potential solutions, and implement solutions
Liaise with team leaders to understand workforce capabilities and skills to plan better work alignment, discuss and analyze overtime trend data
Analyze workforce and skill gaps, and develop a workforce action plan including monitoring progress and updating management
Work closely with HR and business leaders to integrate standardized workforce planning practices into the organization
Liaise with HR and Labour Relations to address employee concerns related to manpower/overtime
Monitor work assignments and Weekend Passover to ensure resources are utilized optimally to meet operational demand
Analyze vacation levels and overtime to ensure staff is adequately allocated
Utilize Capacity Forecast tools to determine the level of staffing compared to operational needs, informing Production Control of potential shortfalls in resources
Review overtime plans for multiple departments and distribute weekly draft and final plans

Experience with database ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, MS Access)
Experience with ADP
Working knowledge of IAMAW collective agreements is an asset
Ability to interpret and apply collective agreements, and associated policies and procedures
