Responsibilities
In this Tax Accountant role in Scarborough, you will be responsible for the following:
-Prepare monthly and quarterly sales tax filings.
- Ensure accurate and timely remittance of taxes to the relevant tax authorities.
- Prepare and schedule tax payments.
- Maintain detailed records of tax movements and transactions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date tax documentation and records.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other related documents.
- Prepare periodic tax reports for internal review.
- Analyze tax data and provide insights to support financial planning and decision-making.
- Liaise with tax authorities and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather necessary information for tax filings and payments.

Qualifications
We are looking for the following for this Tax Accountant role located in Scarborough:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Canadian Tax laws and regulations, preferably in Ontario
- A bachelorâs degree in either business administration or accounting.
- Experience working with JDE or other common accounting systems/ERPs is a requirement.
