The Role
Inventory control coordinator should ensure we have all the products, materials and supplies we need to operate efficiently in ways that are aligned to established policies and standards and will collaborate with the stager to prepare the required material for production according to work order. This role will be in a close relationship with purchasing coordinator, stager, production supervisors and leads to ensure we have the right product at the right time.

Success for an inventory control coordinator typically involves achieving a balance between maintaining optimal inventory levels while minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency to ensure we have the right product at the right time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regularly communicate with production supervisors and leads to understand current and upcoming material requirements for orders and investigate any material variance.
- Maintains inventory of materials needed to complete production
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimal stock levels to meet production demand while minimizing carrying costs.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to reconcile system records with actual stock.
- Update the inventory management system to reflect the physical count and adjust stock levels accordingly
- Review and analyze stock code BOM against consumption report and make recommendations to increase BOM accuracy.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and other relevant metrics.
- Collaborate with the purchasing team to forecast future inventory needs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding inventory management.
Continuous Improvement, Innovation & Expertise:
- Regularly analyze inventory data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement
- Investigate the root causes of inventory discrepancies, stockouts, and excess inventory to address underlying issues and prevent recurrence
- Update JF on inventory min stock requirements, economical order quantities, yields and other requirements in the ERP system to increase accuracy.
- Support the purchasing Manager in required duties to maintain good relationships with our vendors.
- Classify inventory items based on factors such as value, demand variability, and criticality
- Evaluate and implement inventory management systems and technologies to ensure they are aligned with business needs and support efficient operations
Qualifications & Role Requirements:
- College Diploma or University Degree is required
- CPIM, CSCP and CLTD certifications are preferred
- At least 2 - 3 years of inventory management experience
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products – Word, Excel, PDF, Outlook
- Experience with inventory technology including barcoding and ERP (JF preferred)
- Working in a fast-paced environment; a hands-on role dealing with tight deadlines
- Experience in food and HACCP certified environments is preferred

- Forklift operator certified preferred
