Salesforce Tech Lead

Rapid need for a Tech Lead for a Salesforce integration team, the team is growing and our customer is looking for a senior consultant up and running.

Hands-on Tech Lead:
40% development
30% design and code reviews
20% unit testing

Profile:
- Strong experience in APIs and sharing rules and privacy between business groups
- Experience in integrations with Salesforce and multiple other systems/applications involving a Java services layer
- Experience creating Selenium end-to-end testing, integration testing, automated testing
- Strong English comm skills will be necessary

Our client is moving its credit card insurance business and creating a unit for its new acquisition + the migrations out of legacy systems.
Can be hired out of Montreal or Toronto as long as the consultant can go to the Montreal or Toronto office 2 times per week

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain our Salesforce continuous integration pipeline and associated tools.
Perform environment updates and configuration activities.
Perform production releases, including the application of manual pre- and post-deployment steps.
Contribute to the overall environment management strategy and implementation process.
Contribute to source promotion activities, including code and metadata merges, in our global environments.
Support the various implementation teams in their release activities.

Qualifications
Qualification
- A motivated and passionate professional with a keen interest in automation.
- Experience in API integration
- A release developer looking to move into the Salesforce ecosystem, or an experienced Salesforce developer looking to move into a DevOps role.
- Degree in computer science, software engineering or related field.
- 5-8 years' experience in the development field
- The technical environment consists of two closely linked parts: a Salesforce-based implementation and a layer of Java-based microservices "wrapping" the Salesforce platform.

Asset :
- Experience with Salesforce command line interface (CLI) (sfdx and/or sf)
- Experience working in an automated deployment context, directly in a production-related capacity.
- Experience with automation tools, Jenkins (and Groovy development) or GitHub Actions
- Experience of Git version control systems
- Experience of Salesforce-specific release tools, Copado
- Experience of development in Salesforce Apex
- Experience in the insurance industry
