Sodexo is growing We are looking for a Laundry Aid to join our dynamic team. This position is a CASUAL / ON CALL role. You will be offered is a great team environment, work/life balance and the ability to ensure customer satisfaction. The job duties are as follows:
- Washing, drying, sorting & folding of Resident & facility laundry items correctly & efficiently.
- Clean dryer lint filters, vacuum dryers, and any other required preventative maintenance.
- Damp dust equipment at end of shift or as required in maintaining a clean working environment.
- Ensure sinks and counters are well maintained in a clean & disinfected manner.
- Damp mop laundry floors at end of shift/day, clean all spills.
- Report all equipment concerns to Manager or Supervisor.
- Maintain adequate working inventory laundry chemical levels. Assist Manager with monthly laundry chemical inventory.
- Follow & perform tasks of Duty List.
- To always maintain a safe work environment (example – wet floor signage)
- Is responsible to perform his/her job according to safe work practices by:
- learning the safe way to do his/her job and to seek instruction when in doubt
- to perform each task in a safe manner using equipment provided, following instructions and established procedures.
- to report all injuries and hazardous conditions to management immediately.
- to support the Safety Program in the unit
- Perform all of the environmental tasks demonstrating service orientation to fellow employees, client staff and customers.
- Any other duties that may from time to time be requested from your supervisor.
Qualifications
You are a dynamic and reliable person with good communication and interpersonal skills. You are committed to quality assurance and safety.
Position requirements:
- Minimum grade 10 education
- Demonstrated customer service experience.
- English proficiency, verbal.
- Experience in a high-volume laundry environment.
- Have the ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
