We are seeking an experienced financial and business analyst who welcomes the challenge of building and integrating data systems that contribute to upholding Aurum's position as a leader in the growing and rapidly evolving dental industry. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter that can be a strategic contributor while working in a dynamic and challenging role.
Performance Requirements & Expectations:- Work closely with the senior finance, accounting and IT teams to build, maintain and integrate data from various systems into effective analytics and accurate financial reporting
- Develop, track and evaluate key performance indicators which align with the firm's corporate objectives
- Identify and drive process improvements through the creation of standard and ad-hoc tools, including automated reports and dashboards
- Guide the cost and revenue analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures and conducting internal and external comparative analyses
- Develop detailed financial models to support valuation, forecasting, and aid in the capital budgeting and expenditure planning processes
- Evaluate investment and capital allocation decisions through the use of multiple techniques including DCF, market comparable and strategic analysis
- Research industry trends and compile market data to make cohesive recommendations
- Prepare presentations for and make recommendations to senior management and executives
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of analysis tools and market conditions
- 3-5+ years of accounting, research, finance, IT or other relevant corporate experience
- Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, statistics, and/or database administration
- Advanced knowledge of Power BI, ExcelTM, and PowerPointTM
- SQL / Power QueryTM, or other relevant database management and computer programing skills considered an asset
- Database Management and administration considered an asset
- Strong analytical competency and proven work experience in a quantitatively-heavy role
- Preference will be given to candidates with meaningful corporate finance, management accounting, and database administration skills
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication, strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills
