Maintenance Technician/journeyman Electrician

ATCO Frontec Ltd. is seeking a Journeyperson Electrician to join our team at the Victoria Gold Eagle Mine. The Journeyperson Electrician is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance, inspections, modifications, installation/dismantling of electrical systems.
Our positions work on a 21 days on, 14 days off rotation. Accommodations and meals during your work rotations are provided by the company.
Responsibilities:
- Complete timely inspections, testing and accurate reporting of equipment defects / deficiencies
- Conduct timely maintenance services and quality repair of equipment
- Provide input to the Maintenance Coordinator for the planned and scheduled work and assist with the completion of the committed schedule
- Assist with the scoping, estimating, planning and execution of new work or projects
- Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meets the requirements of the appropriate codes
- Variety of other tasks including cleaning grease traps, garbage removal, fixing lift stations, plunging toilets, shoveling snow and other general camp maintenance items.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Journeyperson Certified Electrician (Red Seal) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
- Experience with SAP & Service Max
- Current certificates in Fall Arrest, Confined Space, and Elevated Work Platform
- Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract is required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to read drawings and schematics
- Ability to build and work in a team environment is crucial along with a strong commitment to personal and team safety
