You will get the chance to work with a leading manufacturer who has been in business for 40+ years. They are known widely around BC and Alberta for their distribution of products.

Your new role

As an Accountant, you will be responsible. You will be responsible for the below duties:

  • Support full-cycle accounting including processing accounts payable, preparing monthly close journal entries, preparing invoices, preparing bank reconciliations
  • Prepare and support preparation of monthly financial reporting, including balance sheets, income statements and GST
  • Collect and provide invoices and other information for auditors
  • Process invoices and ensure the accuracy of coding, allocation and approvals
  • Prepare and process cheque requisitions
  • Maintain vendor profile and EFT vendor information
  • Perform ad hoc tasks to support the Corporate Controller and senior management
  • Processing bi-weekly payroll and financial reporting duties

What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or equivalent, CPA is an asset or working towards it
  • 3 Years of experience working in a full cycle accounting position
  • Experience processing company payroll for 100+ employees.
  • Proven experience working in a complex environment and being able to work in a deadline-orientated environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Highly organized, with an ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge basic accounting principles.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with customers and internal team members.

What you'll get in return

This role is a full-time in office position working five days in office, vacation, paid benefits. The salary range is from
$60k - $70k, discretionary bonus.
