ABOUT STRIDES TORONTO Located in east Toronto, Strides Toronto is both a multi-service agency and Lead Agency, providing a wide range of exceptional programs and services that improve the mental, social and physical health of infants, children and youth from the pre-natal stage to age 29, and their families. With a range of community, residential and treatment services, Strides Toronto builds strength and resilience through equitable, accessible, client-driven services, system leadership and advocacy. Strides Toronto is accredited by the Canadian Centre for Accreditation and provides individual, group and family interventions that include mental health counselling, autism services, education, outreach and referral, early intervention, day treatment and community support. In its Lead Agency role, Strides Toronto collaborates with 23 publicly funded infant, child, and youth mental health (ICYMH) Core Service Providers (inclusive of our Indigenous partner agencies) to design and implement system-level improvements that promote access, responsive service delivery and experience, and positive mental health outcomes for young people and families across Toronto's diverse communities. THE OPPORTUNITY The Director, Strategy and Quality is responsible for providing leadership, oversight and expertise to Strides Toronto’s strategy, quality (including risk management), and planning functions, including leading a team of seven. Internally, the Director collaborates cross-departmentally with management staff to ensure programs and services are high quality and operate in accordance with accreditation standards to meet varying client needs. Externally, the Director collaborates with 23 Core Service Providers to lead and support strategic planning initiatives, system management, and quality activities to ensure equitable access to high quality programs and services as Strides Toronto’s Lead Agency role for ICYMH. This work includes support for system and sector-level initiatives and improvement priorities/ opportunities. The Director will contribute to creating a culture of learning, accountability and ongoing quality improvement across service providers and throughout the organization, ensuring that programs are effective, efficient, and continually evolving based on data, feedback from clients, and research. ABOUT YOU As the ideal candidate, you are an outstanding communicator and relationship builder with 5+ years’ experience leading quality improvement, measurement, quality standards and/or strategic initiatives within a health or social service setting. With a collaborative approach and an inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility (IDEA) lens, you effectively translate data into knowledge and integrate best practices and research into your work. You are adept at setting a direction and vision around service quality and continuous improvement and bring outstanding project management, analytical and problem-solving skills. Post-graduate training in health-sciences/services, psychology, quality improvement, or information sciences is preferred, as is prior experience in Accreditation or certification in risk management or quality improvement methodologies. This position operates in a hybrid work environment, with required attendance at various Strides Toronto and offsite locations in the Toronto area. The target hiring salary range for this role is $111,000 to $130,000, with an attractive benefits package. Applications will accepted until the position is filled.
