Painter/Drywall Installer/Labourer

We are seeking profesional drywallers/painters to join our growing team to help us serve our clients in doing quality craftmanship in a timely and efficient manner. At Precision Contracting, quality is key so the best people to join our team are those who pay attention to the details.

Selected candidates will have the opportunity to learn other trades and potentially advance to higher paying positions within the company.

Responsibilities:
-Install drywall on walls and ceilings, cutting to fit

-Patch, tape, sand, mud, and plaster drywall to remove seams and fill gaps

-Prepare surfaces for painting by removing old paint, filling holes, and repairing cracks using caulk, putty, plaster, and/or other fillers, as required
– Apply primers, paints, varnishes, enamels, and lacquers in various construction projects, including residential and commercial settings
– Use brushes, rollers, or spray guns to apply paint or other coatings
– Cover surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape and paper to protect surrounding areas
– Ensure the work area is kept orderly and that all work is completed according to safety guidelines and industry standards
– Use hand tools and power tools to assist with painting tasks, or to assist other tradespersons with variouls project tasks, including repairs and contruction work

-Communicate with team members and supervisors to coordinate work activities and ensure project deadlines are met.

-Provide excellent customer service by addressing any concerns or questions from clients

Qualifications:
– Proven experience as a drywaller and painter is required
– Ability to use and maintain painting equipment, including sprayers and sanding/buffing tools
– Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively, to erect scaffolding, and to assist other tradespersons with variouls tasks
– Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
– Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
– Good communication and time management skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends
