This position will act as an ambassador for our brand, will require a self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills. The role is full-time, salaried, and will be based at our head office/Roastery in Burnaby, B.C.Primary Responsibilities:Event ManagementAttend all events and be ambassador for our brand through communication with customers and/or retail partnersOrganize all marketing materials and samples, and ensure flawless executionWork with vendors to design any needed merchandising elementsCoordinate transportation, set up and shipping as requiredProduct Trial ProgramCreate guidelines for demo staff including set up/take down procedures and coffee preparationTrain Demos on our brand, coffee preparation and key selling featuresMaintenance of Demo equipment, transportation, and storageWork with Sales Team to schedule demos to maximize retailer’s promotionsCoordination of demo scheduling, hours, budgets, and payroll submissionsConduct Demos throughout the Lower Mainland (3-4 per month)Engage with customers to create excitement and connections with our brandSales and Merchandising Materials Leadership of sales materials and small-scale graphic design projects or updates to existing materials (sell sheets, customer sales decks)Create Specialty Retail flyer and digital adsSupport the Sales Team with needed samples, communication, and toolsContent Creation SupportCollaborate with cross functional teams to create content for various digital platforms, including social media, website, blog, and email marketing campaignsCapture and assist in capturing visually appealing images and videos that highlight the 49th coffee offerings, brewing methods, and coffee-related experiencesContribute to writing copy that effectively communicates the 49th unique selling points and coffee-related informationSocial MediaSupport the development and execution of social media strategies to increase brand visibility and engagementAssist in managing and maintaining social media accounts, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTubeContribute ideas for content creation, including photos, videos, and captions, that showcase coffee products, brewing methods, and coffee-related eventsIdentify and establish relationships with relevant Influencers and partners for potential collaborations and brand endorsementsManage influencer campaigns, ensuring content aligns with brand values and goalsMonitor social media platforms for comments and messages and respond in a timely and professional mannerOther Special Projects or Administration duties as determined by Leadership TeamKnowledge & Skills:Passion for Specialty Coffee and the coffee industryMinimum one (1) years of related experienceExcellent communication (verbal and written) skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlinesAbility to be customer-facing and an ambassador of the brandAttention to detail, timeliness, and accuracyCreative mindset with an eye for visual aesthetics.Good knowledge of computer tools including MS OfficeExperience with social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTubeProficiency in Adobe photoshop or illustratorAbility to live and demonstrate the Company ValuesBachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred
