Job Description: Structural Engineer (Junior/Intermediate)

We’re looking for a Structural Engineer (Junior or Intermediate) to join our growing Canadian Operations. To be successful, you must have a minimum of 5 years of diverse structural engineering experience in various industries including rail, stations and transportation facilities, water/wastewater treatment plants, energy, solid waste, food, agricultural, environmental, and other industrial buildings. The Structural Engineer (Junior or Intermediate) will support the senior and lead structural engineers assigned to the projects and collaborate and work closely with other members of the multi-disciplinary team.

Working with an energetic and high-performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Support the execution and delivery of existing and new projects in a design-build environment
- Advance design packages by assisting senior and lead structural engineers
- Provide value-added design solutions in conformance with operator requirements and client/end-user/project output specifications
- Demonstrate experience in structural design of various concrete and steel structures and shoring systems
- Ensure accurate completion of project deliverables
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering
- Active applicant to or registered member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario
- 5 to 10 years of diverse structural engineering experience
- Conversant with National Building Code - NBC and provincial building codes, CSA codes, AREMA, and CHBDC
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong digital literacy including experience in structural analysis and design software (SAP 2000, ETABS, SAFE, and ROBOT), AutoCAD, and MS Office
- Positive demeanor, good communication, and social skills
