Project Coordinator

We're seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join our team in our Edmonton office. ** Not a remote work position – Applicants outside of the Edmonton-area will not be considered.** Overview: The primary objective of this position is to provide support to technical project teams and customers to effectively manage resources and information and assist with scheduling, planning meetings and project activities. The Project Coordinator applies knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project activities in order to help organize, and document projects. Our ideal candidate possesses the following skills: Communicates effectively with internal stakeholders and customers, in writing and orally Well organized, able to multi-task and adhere to deadlines Able to understand and implement project controls Pro-active and process-oriented Strong aptitude for adopting new technologies Responsibilities: Provide support to project teams through best practice recommendations Ensure that the team has adequate resources to accommodate project commitments and work on long term goals Prioritize issues and identify hot releases based on impact to operations Maintain and document communication among internal staff and customers Maintain project technical documentation, creation and tracking of project transmittals Organize and document project meetings Review and report on project status and commitments, identifying potential risks and delays Improve project lifecycles to increase quality, reduce cost Facilitate knowledge transfer between teams Implement corporate standards, policies and procedures for project management efforts Experience 2+ years project coordination experience Experience managing technical projects Computer literate Technical customer service Education A combination of educational background along with skills/experience will be considered Diploma in Business Administration or similar Project Management Certificate is an asset Diploma in Computer Engineering is an asset You must have the right to work in Canada to apply for this position.
