Telesat is currently hiring for a Test Engineer that will be responsible for prreparing and deliveing test cases including presentations, reference documentation and test strategies for network equipment deployment and operation.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop test plan plans to test various protocols like IS-IS, MPLS, OPSF, BGP
  • Work with vendors and review their test plans and release notes
  • Test whether the required LightSpeed components are MEF complaint.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in testing IP networks, with a focus on routing, firewalls, SDWAN, IPSEC VPNs, and deep packet inspection.
  • Understanding of Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) standards and objectives as they relate to Carrier Ethernet Services.
  • Professional certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, CISSP or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written, presentation) and interpersonal skills.
