As expert you will bring a deep technical mastery of the process and equipment. That expertise allows you to lead the planning, process development and implementation of Planned Maintenance Elements in a Continuous Improvement manufacturing environment. You will manage this through teams consisting of various technical and non-technical personnel, key support contractors and operations personnel.
Partner & Enable the line leader(s) to deliver the SQCDSM targets-Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability & Morale for the lines, to ensure Process stability; Participates in the DMS- Daily Management systems meetings at the shift and line level
Own the technology and process and centerline settings for the equipment and process and have deep technical mastery of the process and equipment; Owns the PM-Progressive maintenance systems and work processes and the PM-Progressive Maintenance Key Performance Indicators for the line/s along with Centerline Management systems; Build (spends at least 50% of time) technical and maintenance skills of the technicians working in the shifts, so that they are able to operate and maintain their equipment themselves; Partner with the Asset and Reliability team for system improvement and execution of special maintenance tasks; be responsible for Change Management on the line/s, localization of spares and proper break-down analysis and R&M cost reduction for the line/s; Represents the department/line/s as the site technology owner in the regional and global technology forums
Help the line leader in internal and external benchmarking and reapplication; be the subject matter expert on one of the component categories and be a trainer of PM related subjects for the plant
Advanced knowledge (including AM-Autonomous Maintenance Step 4 systems & Progressive Maintenance Step 3) & skill to maintain the dedicated equipment(s)at basic conditions independently, including the execution of AM & PM (BD-Breakdown maintenance, planned maintenance) standards on dedicated equipment(s) and TPM - Phase 3 & 4 tools problem solving tools
The capability to work as the Line Leader, developing and aligning goal/master plan for the line, deploying and managing IDP for the members, coaching team members on their performance management and career development
Operate equipment to support various producing units such as power saws, manual lathes, milling machines, layout (height gauge, trammel, dividers) drills, grinders, shaper, bolt threader, key seater;
Perform tasks to support operations of various producing units (able to read and understand CNC programs, as well as produce your own simple programming);
Operate and inspect material handling equipment (such as overhead & mobile cranes); light mobile equipment (such as forklifts, pickup trucks);
Knowledge of cutting tools (carbide, high speed steel, ceramic, indexable, tapered shank, how to sharpen);
Read and interpret blueprints/drawings, produce rough sketches (abbreviations, symbols for machining/welding/assembly, tolerances);
Fit and assemble simple as well as complex assemblies;
Work alone with minimal supervision or with other Maintenance Technicians in conjunction with operating team members to perform maintenance tasks.
Minimum of two years’ experience in an industrial environment;
Dynamic Strength: The ability to exert muscle force at intervals throughout a work shift. Agility: The ability to negotiate different areas of the plant, including climbing stairs and ladders, and moving around barriers;
Manual Dexterity: The ability to quickly move and react.
The job is within a heavy industrial environment and you may be required to work within various areas of the facility. This includes wearing personal protective equipment, such as a hard hats, eye protection, hearing protection, respirators, flame retardant clothing and safety shoes with metatarsal protection at all times during a work shift;
Employees work in a unionized, highly industrial setting;
Our Gladstone Plant operates 24 hours per day, 365 days a year with varying hours of work including 8 and12 hour rotating shifts;
This means that you may be required to work different days of the week each time you rotate shifts. In other words, you may be required to work Saturdays, Sundays and holidays;
The position requires you to work overtime as needed;
