Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager specializing in PCI compliance to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing projects related to Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliance. This role requires a deep understanding of PCI requirements, project management methodologies, and excellent communication skills to coordinate efforts across various teams and stakeholders. The Project Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring our organization maintains compliance with PCI standards, protecting sensitive payment card data and fostering a culture of security and risk management.
Lead and manage projects related to PCI compliance, including but not limited to gap assessments, remediation efforts, audits, and ongoing compliance maintenance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, security, finance, legal, and operations to ensure alignment of PCI compliance efforts with organizational objectives.
Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets to effectively manage resources and deliverables for PCI compliance initiatives.
Conduct regular risk assessments and gap analyses to identify areas of non-compliance and prioritize remediation efforts accordingly.
Coordinate with external auditors and assessors to facilitate PCI compliance assessments and audits, ensuring all requirements are met and evidence is provided as necessary.
Implement and maintain policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate risks associated with handling payment card data in accordance with PCI DSS requirements.
Provide regular status updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders on the progress of PCI compliance projects, including identified risks, issues, and mitigation strategies.
Conduct training and awareness programs to educate employees on their roles and responsibilities in maintaining PCI compliance.
Serve as a subject matter expert on PCI compliance, providing guidance and support to internal teams and stakeholders as needed.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, or related field. Proven experience 8+ years managing projects related to PCI compliance within a complex organizational environment, preferably in the financial services industry.
In-depth knowledge of PCI DSS requirements, controls, and best practices for securing payment card data.
Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor multiple initiatives simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and budgets.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
Experience working with auditors and assessors to achieve and maintain PCI compliance certification.
Familiarity with security technologies and tools used to protect payment card data, such as encryption, tokenization, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with a collaborative and results-oriented approach to driving projects to successful completion.
