Join the West Coast Primary Care Centre (ʔuukʷinkpanač) as a Family Physician dedicated to serving First Nations communities. Contribute to culturally safe healthcare and holistic wellness practices in Ahousaht and surrounding areas. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of the First Nations Health Authority's transformative health initiatives. As a Family Physician, you will serve a patient panel while working collaboratively in a team-based environment. It’s crucial to practice cultural humility and integrate Western and traditional wellness approaches into your care. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide culturally safe primary care services
- Collaborate with a team for holistic patient health
- Travel between multiple community sites for appointments
- Support Indigenous health practices in patient care
- Comply with BC health regulations and standards
- Active license in good standing with CPSBC
- Training in Cultural Safety & Humility preferred
- Experience working with First Nations communities
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel
- Doctorate in Medicine with relevant experience
