Position: Managed Accounts Supervision SpecialistWorking with the Director, Portfolio Management Supervision, and other immediate team members, and internal partners, the successful candidate will focus on the investment suitability and oversight of BMO Nesbitt Burns Managed Account programs.
The primary responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:Complete suitability reviews of new and updated Managed Client Account Agreements.
Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
Provides support and guidance to branch supervision employees on supervision issuesSupports Regional Supervision team with managed account KYC review monitoringSupport the team with quarterly oversight to ensure that each managed account conforms to the account’s Client Account Agreement (“CAA”) investment guidelines, managed account programs and regulatory obligations.
Coordinate resolution of any issues identified as a part of the daily and quarterly oversight process and escalate issues where necessary.
Act as a relationship manager with Branch Supervision and Investment Advisors/Portfolio Managers in coaching on various suitability related and oversight matters.
Support branch supervision to ensure Client Account Agreements and Investment Policy Statements are reviewed and updated as required.
Help facilitate responses to inquiries for internal and external audits in coordination with the Director, Portfolio Management Supervision.
As a member of the broader Supervision, Support and Governance team you will need to support various broader initiatives from time to time.
Supports the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Identifies business needs, designs/develops tools and training programs; may include delivery of training to audiences.
Performs supervision activities to meet regulatory requirements and maintain service level standards.
Builds effective relationships with internal stakeholders.
Follows through on risk and supervision processes and policies to ensure we safeguard our customers’ assets, maintain their privacy, act in their best interests, and ensure an effectively run function.
Protects the Bank's assets and complies with all regulatory, legal and ethical requirements.
Identify and recommend process improvements.

Qualifications:
Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is required.
Registered with CIRO as Supervisor responsible for supervision of managed accounts – or eligible to request registration.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience with managed accountsPost-secondary education in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience.
