Licensed Practical Nurse

* Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, document and direct client needs in consultation with internal staff, Director of Care, and other medical/healthcare professionals.
* Work with management and healthcare service teams to promote communication and compliance of policies, procedures and applicable legislation.
* Assist with the development, implementation and evaluation of client care plans as per company policy and scope of practice.
* Maintain the standard of accurate and complete documentation and reporting.
* Apply dressings and treatments according to physician’s orders and policy.
* Assist with supervision and evaluation of job performance and behavior of other healthcare staff.
* Promote client-directed care, self- care and independence through teaching and encouragement.
* Incorporate current research findings into clinical practices. *Qualifications:*
* Current Registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (CLPNNL).
* Physical Assessment, Palliative/ Hospice Care experience preferred.
* Previous experience working in a senior’s independent living environment and/or long-term care preferred.
* Alzheimer’s and/ or other Dementia Care courses are considered an asset. *Requirements:*
* Evening and weekend work required.
* Valid Certificate of Conduct and Vulnerable Sector Check.
* Current First Aid and CPR certification.
