The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing invoices, administering payments, and managing vendor accounts/relationships.
Creates and maintains vendor information in the accounting system
• Handles the administration of tax forms and adheres to tax compliance reporting requirements
• Processes payments through various payment channels, including EFT/ACH, wires, cheques, and credit cards
• Deposits cheque payments to various bank accounts
• Administers the corporate credit card platform
• Researches and resolves accounts payable issues with customers or vendors
• Support the Corporate Accounting team in compiling audit requests relating to invoices and payments
• Assists with office clerical and administrative tasks, as needed

Complies with all policies and procedures, work rules, and standard operating procedures.
Completion of a diploma in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
~2+ years of accounts payable or accounting experience
~ Experience with using accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred)

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
Computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel and Outlook
Standard office environment
