Be a full-time or part-time day time student at Sheridan College with a GPA of at least 2.Our vision is to empower our student community to succeed in a changing world. This is achieved through participation as an active member of the Sheridan community, facilitating opportunities for student leadership, and the creation of strategic partnerships to improve the quality of life on campus. As THE EXECUTIVE, you will assist in guiding and organizing the executive team and the board of directors to support and create initiatives, projects, events and opportunities. As an executive leader, you will be working alongside our SSU President to implement campus objectives and goals that align with our organizational strategic plan. Through organizing, facilitating, and supporting many projects and initiatives on campus, your influence will help shape students’ Sheridan experience.
Very strong time-management and organizational skills;
A flexible schedule to be able to work a variety of hours during regular business hours (Between 8am and 6pm) with the rare possibility of night time shifts;
A creative mind to create new and innovative campus initiatives;
Familiarity and aptitude with popular social media platforms;
Helping to plan, coordinate, and facilitate general meetings as needed;
Monitoring and record directors’ attendance at each Board Meeting;
Managing and developing the board’s SharePoint portal; Work with the President in developing projects, initiatives, and strategic objectives that align with the mission and vision of the Sheridan Student Union;
Attend staff meetings, planning committees, and collaborate with the college, as needed;
Oversee and help organize Vice-Presidents’ initiatives and projects, while supporting as needed;
Help coordinate scheduling and communications for the executive team;
Assist in updating and honouring all SSU Bylaws and Policies;
