The Senior Policy Analyst plays a pivotal role in advancing provincial government projects focused on facilitating positive changes in the lives of Métis children, youth, and families across British Columbia. Their role involves leveraging a nuanced understanding of Métis culture alongside policy expertise to tailor materials and resources for these initiatives, ensuring they genuinely reflect the values of the Métis communities involved.
Through thorough research efforts and data analysis, the Senior Policy Analyst formulates reports and evidence-based policy recommendations aimed at addressing the multifaceted challenges faced by Indigenous communities. Their proactive efforts, including data analysis, report writing, and strategic recommendations, directly contribute to the development of tailored programs and services that meet the specific needs of Métis communities in British Columbia.
Pursuant to Section 41 of the BC Human Rights Code, preference may be given to applicants who self-identify as Indigenous (First Nation, Métis, or Inuit).
