Reporting to the Director, Corporate Accounting, the Senior Treasury Analyst will manage Metro’s daily Treasury and cash operations. The individual will play an active role in building strong internal controls and processes and will assist in preparing various ad hoc corporate finance analysis and reports on Treasury matters. The candidate will also be involved in an upgrade project of the accounting system, for the treasury activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the group’s financing activities, including intercompany lending and external financing with a syndicate of lenders.
  • Monitor bank covenants and ensure compliance with all bank reporting requirements.
  • Offer strategic guidance on financing options.
  • Analyze, propose and support improvement to our cash management processes, reporting and systems.
  • Prepare and implement treasury-related policies and best practices.
  • Develop a cash flow forecast model and manage liquidity needs – strong ability to liaise with different teams to determine cash needs and availability.
  • Analyze effectiveness of current swaps structure and foreign exchange transactions.
  • Develop strategies to reduce treasury related costs.
  • Report monthly KPIs.
  • Assist in online banking administration.

REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree in finance or related field
  • Professional designation CFA or CPA
  • 5-7 years of corporate treasury
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and financial modeling skills required
  • Knows how to prioritize and to respect deadlines
  • Enjoys working in a team environment
  • Rigorous, structured and organized
  • Large corporation/multinational environment experience considered an asset
  • Strong communicator in both English and French

Relevant de la Directrice de la comptabilité corporative, l’Analyste senior - gestion de la trésorerie prendra en charge la gestion des opérations quotidiennes de trésorerie. L’analyste sénior jouera un rôle clé dans l’établissement de contrôles et de processus internes solides et aidera à préparer diverses analyses et rapports sur les questions reliées à trésorerie. Il participera également à un projet de mise à niveau du système comptable, pour le volet trésorerie.

Le rôle

- Gérer les activités de financement du groupe, y compris les prêts intersociétés et le financement externe avec un syndicat bancaire.

- Surveiller les covenants bancaires et s’assurer du respect de toutes les exigences de reporting bancaire.

- Offrir des conseils stratégiques sur les options de financement

- Analyser, proposer et soutenir l’amélioration de nos processus de gestion de trésorerie, rapports et systèmes.

- Élaborer et implanter des politiques et des meilleures pratiques en matière de trésorerie.

- Développer un modèle de prévision des flux de trésorerie et gérer les besoins de liquidités – forte capacité à collaborer avec différentes équipes pour déterminer les besoins de trésorerie et la disponibilité des fonds.

- Analyser l’efficacité de la structure actuelle des swaps et des opérations de change

- Élaborer des stratégies pour réduire les coûts liés à la trésorerie

- Préparer des KPI mensuels

- Assister dans l’administration des services bancaires en ligne

Les exigences

- Diplôme universitaire en finance ou dans un domaine connexe

- Titre professionnel CFA ou CPA

- 5-7 ans d’expérience en trésorerie corporative

- Connaissance approfondie en Excel et compétences en modélisation financière requises

- Sait prioriser et respecter les délais

- Aime travailler dans un environnement d’équipe

- Rigoureux, structuré et organisé

- Expérience dans l’environnement de grandes entreprises/multinationales est considérée comme un atout ;

- Excellentes aptitudes de communication en français et anglais
