As an Automation Specialist, you will engage in engineering activities from project inception to implementation. Your role involves software development, technical assistance, and hardware selection while adhering to safety standards. You will collaborate with project coordinators to optimize productivity and resolve automation challenges effectively. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop software for automation following Tenaris standards
- Validate designs and optimize implementation for automation
- Support project teams during automation project execution
- Provide technical assistance for recurring automation issues
- Maintain software backups and documentation diligently
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5-10 years of relevant automation experience
- Strong proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with ABB industrial robots programming
- Knowledge of Canadian manufacturing safety standards
