Shape Alberta's global trade strategy as the Director of Trade for the Middle East and Africa, based in Edmonton. Lead teams to enhance export readiness while forging international relationships. In this full-time, permanent role, you will report to the Executive Director, Trade and Export Expansion. This position requires a minimum of seven years of management experience and is focused on developing strategies to help Alberta businesses access international markets effectively. You will provide guidance to trade officers while building stakeholder networks in key international markets. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan ministerial missions for strategic engagement
- Engage stakeholders and build trade partnerships
- Develop international export promotion strategies
- Mentor and lead trade officers in development
- Oversee unit administration for operational efficiency
- University graduation in a relevant field
- Minimum seven years of management experience
- Understanding of international business and trade policies
- Strong communication and networking skills
- Willingness to travel internationally as needed
