We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer with exceptional expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and C#. This position is a long-term remote contract for our esteemed client based in Portland, Oregon (USA). Our client works in the healthcare insurance sector and is market leader. A significant bonus would be your experience in the insurance sector, particularly with insurance claims.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain sophisticated software systems.
- Gain in-depth knowledge of business and system functionalities.
- Apply system expertise to diagnose and resolve intricate problems.
- Conduct requirements analysis, design, peer reviews, and documentation.
- Provide accurate effort estimates and identify potential risks.
- Implement sound software engineering processes, including iterative
- development, unit testing, source code control, inspections, and reviews.
- Stay updated on technology trends and adhere to industry best practices.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficient in .NET/C#.
- Strong relational database skills, including SQL, stored procedures, and
- database architecture (MSSQL 2008 or higher).
- Microsoft SQL expertise.
- Exposure to Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles.
- Self-directed, analytical, adept at problem-solving, with strong attention to
- detail.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality products within tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
Experience/Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- 6+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
- 6+ years of experience in .Net, C#.
- 6+ years of experience with MS SQL Server 2008 or higher.
- Preferred experience with MVC, Angular, JavaScript, HTML.
- Exposure to Cloud Development is advantageous.
- Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
