Job Title 1: Backend Engineer (HealthTech - Cloud & Data Infrastructure)

Location: (Remote)

Company Overview: OneVital is a cutting-edge health-tech startup developing wearable technology that monitors real-time health biomarkers and uses AI to generate actionable insights and emergency alerts. We're looking for a Backend Engineer to help build the secure, scalable infrastructure that powers our real-time data, mobile applications, and machine learning systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and data services to support real-time and historical health data.
  • Build and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Create robust data pipelines for ingesting and processing biosensor data.
  • Ensure platform security, privacy, and compliance with HIPAA/GDPR standards.
  • Work cross-functionally with mobile developers, firmware engineers, and data scientists.
  • Set up monitoring, alerting, and performance tuning for backend systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in backend development.
  • Proficient in one or more backend languages (Python, Node.js, Go, Java).
  • Experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, time-series databases).
  • Familiarity with event streaming and real-time data systems (e.g., Kafka, MQTT).
  • Understanding of secure data handling and regulatory compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in health tech or IoT environments.
  • Familiarity with FHIR/HL7 standards.
  • Exposure to AI/ML system integration.

Salary $80,000-160,000
