YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS AN INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER:- Implement Disaster Recovery and High Availability solutions that meet stated requirements for both on-premises and cloud solutions.
- Oversee transition to production of all new solutions to the operational support team.
- Engineer server and network environments; assemble tech components, troubleshoot issues, and integrate third-party products when required.
- Document and maintain procedures, backup environments and configuration documents.
- Follow change and problem management processes and procedures.
- Develop or enhance policies with respect to IT infrastructure.
- Monitor and keep up with industry trends and new technology such as IaaS and Cloud Computing.
- Provide technical leadership to clients, management and colleagues.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments; prepare client reports, presentations, and other deliverables.
- Demonstrate principles of superior customer service, focusing on critical thinking, effective communication, and anticipating customer needs.
- 6+ years supporting and designing IT solutions; 2+ years in a senior role
- Strong skills in network and hardware technologies, virtualization, shared storage technologies, and Active Directory
- Experience with Cloud (Azure), IaaS, and firewall configuration and setup
- Demonstrated success in designing IT solutions for businesses
- Relevant certifications in indicated technologies are considered assets
