The Clinical Oxygen Consultant provides all respiratory services with a focus on providing oxygen therapy, clinical and ventilatory support to the client while collaborating with referring physicians and ensuring patient safety. The incumbent will work directly with all clients, referral sources and funding agencies to deliver high quality clinical evidence based care. Additionally, they continuously work on growing the overall business through promotion of our products and services.
* Provides quality care by conducting a full respiratory assessment;
developing respiratory therapy treatment plans in consultation with the client, physicians and care teams as per prescription and established company best practices.
* Provides appropriate follow-up to clients to evaluate effects of treatment plan, comfort of client when using treatment and addresses compliance with therapy.
* Assess clients home environment for safety, identifies and addresses areas of concern, and performs equipment quality control checks on a recurring basis.
* Contributes to the growth of Air Liquide Healthcare by liaising with healthcare professionals;
providing demonstration/education of products and services to prospective clients.
* Maintains continuing education and knowledge of clinical best practice as related to position.
* Ensures quality documentation through completion of all company documentation and forms (both digital and non-electronic) as per policy.
* Maintains client confidentiality and protects Air Liquide Healthcare's operations by keeping information confidential.
* Protects clients and employees by adhering to safety and infection control policies and protocols.
* Where applicable, follow Air Liquide Healthcare's corporate vehicle policy.
* When required, participates in sleep duties including initiating PAP therapy when prescribed, providing patient education, instruction of use and cleaning of their equipment. Follows company best practice guidelines, policies and procedures for PAP initiation and follow-up.
*Licensed to practice with the provincial governing body
- Valid driver's license
- Previous experience in healthcare field an asset
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Working knowledge of Microsoft, Google applications and Android
