Roles & Responsibilities
  1. Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical components utilized in the company and packaging departments, such as flow wrappers and metal detectors.
  2. Familiarity with various shop tools, including milling machines, lathes, grinders, drilling machines, and welding equipment.
  3. Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues, along with efficient equipment setup.
  4. Ability to make major and minor adjustments to equipment within a reasonable timeframe.
  5. Conducting all maintenance activities on plant equipment safely, ensuring cleanliness and optimal functionality, and adhering to GMP standards.
  6. Conduct enhancements to equipment/systems, explore and evaluate new equipment, maintain comprehensive maintenance records, and ensure accessibility of all relevant information.
  7. Completion and submission of required reports.
  8. Responsible for both corrective and preventive maintenance on a variety of mechanical equipment.
  9. Implementing equipment/system improvements, researching, and testing new equipment, and maintaining maintenance records.
  10. Serving as the first responder and verifier in emergency situations.
  11. Additional related duties as directed and assigned by the Supervisor and Manager.
Qualifications & Experience

5 years of experience in mechanical and electrical work, encompassing setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting. Preferred possession of a valid Industrial skilled trades license (Millwright) from Ontario or any Canadian province, although not mandatory. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with good mechanical aptitude. Able to report to a 4 day / 10-hour shift. Strong communication skills – verbal and written.
