Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Emissions Analyst / Project Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead strategic projects focused on emissions quantification, regulatory compliance, and data-driven insights. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience with the Alberta Technology Innovation and Emissions Reduction (TIER) system, other Output-Based Pricing Systems (OBPS), Clean Fuel Regulations (CFR) and related regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Oversee complex emissions analysis projects, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of compliance reports and strategic recommendations.
- Emissions Quantification: Conduct advanced emissions quantification and develop comprehensive compliance reports focused on the Alberta TIER system and OBPS requirements.
- Regulatory Submissions: Manage submissions for the Federal Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program (GHGRP) and National Pollutant Release Inventory (NPRI).
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, and data visualization tools) for sophisticated data analysis and modeling.
- Team Mentorship: Lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative environment that drives continuous improvement.
- Strategic Advisory: Stay abreast of regulatory changes and advise clients on proactive compliance strategies and process optimizations.
Qualifications:
- Regulatory Expertise: Direct experience with the Federal and Provincial Output Based Pricing Systems (OBPS) and the Clean Fuel Regulations (CFR) is most important.
- Educational Background: Candidates should possess an engineering or technical degree.
- Experience: A minimum of eights years of relevant experience in air quality consulting, emissions quantification, and compliance reporting, with demonstrated project management and leadership expertise.
- Deep knowledge of the Alberta TIER system, OBPS, and associated environmental regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions for data analysis and reporting.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage client relationships and lead teams effectively.
