Tasks:
  1. Provide information/training to employers, employees and general public
  2. Establish and implement policies and procedures
  3. Train, direct and motivate staff
  4. Assign, co-ordinate and review projects and programs
  5. Inspect workplaces for safety or health hazards
  6. Plan, develop and implement recruitment strategies
  7. Investigate workplace accidents or illnesses
  8. Manage contracts
  9. Initiate enforcement procedures to fine or close an establishment
  10. Manage training and development strategies
  11. Oversee the analysis of employee data and information
  12. Develop and implement health and safety plans
  13. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  14. Respond to employee questions and complaints
  15. Oversee payroll administration
  16. Conduct performance reviews
