Business Analyst – InformaticsOn behalf of our client, Procom is currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a six (6) month engagement based in Burnaby, British Columbia. While this client is pleased to offer a remote work model when possible this role will require frequent site visits to the head office in Burnaby.Business Analyst – Informatics Job DetailsThe Business Analyst (Informatics) will be a key member of the team. The Business Analyst (Informatics) will lead facilitation of clinical focused advisory and working groups by scheduling meetings, updating agendas, taking meeting minutes, and documenting decisions/actions.The Business Analyst (Informatics) will also work closely with Clinical Informatics and various operations/practice areas to assess clinical requirements and determine common themes and alignments.Developing or assisting in the development of design documents, requirements analysis, testing plans, test cases, use cases, process flows, procedures, and policiesIdentifying and facilitating any updates required to existing policies, guidelines, and processes that impact the use of changing technologiesValidating and documenting current state and future state workflows and environmentsSupporting the development of briefing notes, decision requests, and business casesPerforming other project activities as directed by the project manager as neededSupports planning and coordination of the project and its activitiesDevelops positive relationships with business, clinical, technical, and project stakeholders to enable successful project and strategy deliveryAssists in development of presentations and materials for executive level audiencesPrepares materials and facilitates discussions and decisions at in meetingsDevelops and distributes meeting agenda and minutesDocuments decisions, actions, and other meeting outcomesSupports governance decision process, tracking decision progress, responding to information queries, and escalating action as appropriateEvaluates business case and other project documentation, determining readiness for submission for funding submissionEnterprise reporting using a variety of software from Microsoft’s Office Suite, Smartsheet, SharePoint, and custom in-house toolsBusiness Analyst – Informatics Mandatory SkillsAt least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst for large and complex technology and clinical projects for one of BC’s Health Authorities (i.e., PHSA, VCH, PHC, VIHA, IHA, NHA, FHA).Demonstrable experience gathering and documenting clinical requirements.Demonstrable experience gathering and documenting business (non-clinical) requirements.Demonstrable experience gathering and documenting technical requirements.Exceptional ability to develop and maintain strong and professional working relationships with a variety of stakeholders at all levels.Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.).Working knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and real-world best practices.Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal.Exceptional active listening skills.Exceptional organizational and time management.Exceptional ability to work across all project areas (e.g., technical and clinical) and identify upstream impacts, downstream impacts, dependencies, and overlapping activities.Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to develop well considered, logical, and justifiable options.Business Analyst Nice-To-Have SkillsCertified Business Analyst (CPC) designation (or equivalent).Experience as a Lead Business Analyst on an electronic Health Record project/initiative for one of BC’s Health Authorities (i.e., PHSA, VCH, PHC, VIHA, IHA, NHA, FHA)Business Analyst – Informatics Assignment LengthSix (6) month contract with the potential for three (3) extensions of six (6) months each.Business Analyst – Informatics Start DateASAPBusiness Analyst – Informatics Assignment LocationMain office located in Burnaby, British Columbia.
