POSITION SUMMARY As the Site Engineer (Investigation) for the Ontario Line Project, you will be responsible for conducting site investigations to support the planning and design phases of the project. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will ensure that all investigative activities meet the required standards and project specifications. Your role will involve assessing site conditions, identifying potential challenges, and providing detailed reports to inform project decisions. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive site investigations, including soil, geological, and environmental assessments, to support project planning and design. Collect and analyze data from field investigations to identify site conditions, potential hazards, and other relevant factors. Prepare detailed investigation reports, including findings, recommendations, and potential impacts on project design and execution. Collaborate with project stakeholders, including engineers, environmental scientists, and geotechnical experts, to integrate investigation results into project plans. Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, regulations, and project specifications during investigation activities. Maintain accurate records of site investigations, including data collection, analysis, and reporting. Assist in the preparation and review of technical documents, such as investigation plans, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies. Provide technical support and advice during the project planning and design phases, addressing any site-related issues or concerns. Coordinate with contractors and other project personnel to ensure seamless execution of investigative activities. Participate in project meetings and provide updates on investigation progress and findings. Education and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in site investigation or a similar role within construction or infrastructure projects. Proficiency in conducting and interpreting geotechnical, soil, and environmental investigations. Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, including environmental and geotechnical guidelines. Familiarity with data collection and analysis tools and techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Certification or training in site investigation or related areas is desirable.
