Reports to: Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor
The Canadian Pharmacists Association (CPhA) is actively recruiting for a Clinical Editor on a 9-month term to join our Digital Solutions department.
We are a fully remote workforce and are looking for someone who is able to be fully productive, efficient and effective in a remote environment.
Clinical editors are responsible for researching, developing, and writing scientific and clinical content for CPhA publications, print and electronic; editing and assuring quality of content to conform with best available evidence.
Evaluates and monitors the quality of CPhA publications with the aim of improving content, format, accuracy, efficiency, and currency.
Creates drug and therapeutic content according to the best available evidence.
Maintains awareness of current therapeutic and clinical practice issues by reading medical/pharmacy journals and participating in professional development.
Acts as content expert consultant for technical development of products or internal processes.
Participates in regular project, pharmacist, editor and publication meetings reporting on project, content, editorial and professional issues.
Coordinates development of content.
Researches and validates the content of the topics while preserving the scientific integrity of the data.
Represents Digital Solutions on other committees as assigned.
Participates in training of new employees.
Signs off on the work of the Scientific Editor, Assistant Editors and Pharmacy Students.
Editor-in-Chief, Clinical Editors, Scientific Editors, Editorial Managers, Information Technologists, Assistant Editors, VP – Digital Transformation & Chief Information Officer, Graphic Artists, Product Managers.
Bachelor or Doctor degree in Pharmacy, Pharmacist, licensed in a Canadian province.
Ability to research and evaluate medical and scientific information.
Knowledge of computers and hand-held devices.
Fluency in English.
Ability to display a commitment to and advocate for diversity and inclusion.
Asset Skills
Bilingualism (English and French)
