Position Purpose:

Reporting to the Inventory Control Supervisor, the Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for prioritizing orders, responding to inquiries, inputting inventory information into Prism.

Principle Accountabilities:
  1. Set appointments for inbound deliveries.
  2. Work with Transplace to set pickup and delivery appointments, shipment routing, and freight quotes.
  3. Use the internet to track shipments.
  4. Notify carriers for daily pickups.
  5. Process orders through Prism applications and assign carriers.
  6. Apply PROS, print BOLS/Pack list, and file paperwork.
  7. Review back-orders daily, send reports to supervisor, and close backorders.
  8. Process inventory adjustments.
  9. Provide information and submit custom documentation for exports.
  10. Receive PO's into Prism and search PO details to determine and fix errors.
  11. Correctly communicate exceptions on PO's to obtain corrections.
  12. Process returns through RA system.
  13. Enter production into Prism and perform correct inventory transactions for WIP/RAW/FG.
  14. Verify inventory and complete ASNs for inventory going to the warehouse.
  15. Enter cycle count data records.
  16. Complete daily production reports.
  17. Actively participate in the physical inventory.
  18. Calculate rate charges for add freight shipments.
  19. Additional duties as required.
Essential Skills and Experience:

High school diploma or GED; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must have a good understanding of shipping, warehouse, and transportation methods.

Knowledge of material and freight rates.

Excellent communication skills required (both verbal and written).

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Highly organized and reliable, a self-starter, and a strong attention to detail.

Well experienced in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook), and comfortable working on computers and learning new software applications.

Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Experienced using shipping and receiving functions in a large ERP system is an asset.

College Diploma would be an asset.
