We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to fill the role of Ramadan Expo Coordinator (Part-Time/ contract). As the coordinator, you will be responsible for managing various aspects of the expo, including budgeting, relationship building, event management, and innovation. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, leadership abilities, and a keen understanding of marketing techniques and industry trends. Additionally, familiarity with Muslim culture and experience working with diverse ethnicities is required. Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 1-5 years of experience in marketing, events, conferences, project management, or sales.
  • Event management experience preferred.
  • Relationship building, networking, and outreach skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Leadership skills to guide diverse teams towards a common goal.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong sales and events background with an interest in marketing, social media, and industry trends.
  • Outgoing, self-motivated person with strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates extreme attention to detail and professionalism.
  • Understanding of the Muslim culture and experience working with various ethnicities is required.
  • People-first mindset, both for guests and team members.

  • Independence in establishing work priorities with minimal guidance.
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Proficient in French.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage budgets and resources for events.
  • Establish partnerships and relationships with industry organizations.
  • Lead, manage, and provide direction to contractors and vendors.
  • Develop comprehensive event timelines and production schedules.
  • Oversee event setup, coordination with teams, and client support during events.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback for improvement.
  • Be flexible with working hours to accommodate event schedules and attend events on-site as needed.
