Our client specializes in Financial Services, Real Estate, and Asset Management. The company is entrepreneurially driven and they continuously strive for excellence and quality service for all of their clients.


Our client is located in Hamilton, Ontario, and it is a fully in-office role. They are looking for a Financial Accountant to join their corporate accounting team. The focus of the role will be banking related. They are looking for a candidate pursuing their CPA, with strong bank reconciliation experience. This accounting role will be responsible for operations and real estate accounting matters.


Preparation of daily accounting reports for mortgages, deposits, savings accounts and cash balances
Daily verification of electronic banking transactions
Preparation of daily bank reconciliations and daily and monthly subledger reconciliations
Maintenance and updating of select accounting working papers and financial records
Preparation of corporate tax instalment payments for selected entities
Maintenance of financial records and accounting matters for related and associated companies including financial statement preparation when required
Other duties as assigned by the Head of Finance and/or Senior Accountant
Degree or diploma in finance, accounting or related business discipline
~Knowledge of Word and Outlook as well as intermediate Excel skills
~ Experience in financial services would be an asset
