AECOM Buildings + PlacesArchitectural team is seeking a Registered Architect to join our Burnaby, BC-based team.
AECOM Buildings + Places Canada (B+P Canada) is a vibrant and growing fully integrated team spanning architecture, all the building’s engineering disciplines, landscape architecture, urban planning, urban design, economics and asset management for design and infrastructure projects. Project assignments may include, although not limited to: Transit and Municipal, Commercial, and Institutional projects, Justice, Education and Government.
Performing basic architectural/engineering calculations.
Preparing specifications, reports and related data tables.
Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, may independently perform advanced technical assignments of various complexities within approved schedules and budgets.
May coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project.
May assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.
May assist in the development of new architectural methods and techniques.
University Degree in Architecture (or relevant field of study) + no less than four (4) years of relevant professional experience doing Architectural work on complex buildings (commercial, institutional, industrial, etc.). Must be a Licensed Architect with the AIBC or other Canadian licensing jurisdictions.
Proficiency in Revit
Master’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institute or equivalent experience
Thorough knowledge of building systems and construction detailing
Strong conceptual and technical design skills
Exceptional technical knowledge of building construction and the BC Building Code
Relocation is not available for this position.
