This permanent position offers exceptional benefits and the flexibility of a 4-day workweek.   • Pay rate: $35– $45/hour + signing bonus
  • Location: Victoria, BC
  • Shifts : 5 days x 8 hours OR 4 days x 10 hours
  • Job type: Full-time | Permanent

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Installing and servicing plumbing and gas fire equipment.
  • Installing fixtures such as taps, sinks, toilets, etc.
  • Cleaning of Sewer lines and drain tiles (utilizing a mainliner, camera, hydro flush)
  • Troubleshooting leaks and re-piping water lines
  • Conducting plumbing installs and retrofits
  • Installing and troubleshooting hot water tanks
  • Installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing fixtures and systems
  • Measuring, cutting, and threading pipes using machines
  • Joining pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, cement or and welding equipment
  • Testing pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
  • Reading blueprints to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems
  • Locating and marking positions for pipe connections, and cutting openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
  • Conducting simple drain cleaning (kitchen sinks, toilets, etc.)
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Red Seal certification is required
  • Gas A or B certifications are also a must
  • Driver’s License and a clean driver’s abstract
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to stay calm and professional through difficult times
  • Effective time management skills
  • Highly organized individual
  • Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
