Victoria, Canada Battalion Plumbing and Gas Full time

Responsibilities:

- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of plumbing systems
- Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks such as digging trenches and carrying equipment
- Use pipe threading machines to cut, thread, and bend pipes
- Provide field service for plumbing emergencies and repairs
- Utilize maintenance person skills to perform general maintenance tasks as needed

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a plumber or completion of an apprenticeship program
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding of plumbing codes and regulations
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks
- Knowledge of pipe threading techniques and equipment operation
- Experience in field service and troubleshooting plumbing issues
- Basic math skills for measurements and material estimation
- Valid driver's license for commercial driving purposes
- Mechanical knowledge for understanding plumbing systems and components

**Salary**: $42.12 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Victoria, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- plumbing: 5 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- red seal endorsed plumbing ticket (preferred)
