We cater to a varied clientele of institutional investors and multinational firms from offices in Montreal, London, Brussels, Buenos Aires and Beijing.Our sectoral research function operates as an extension of our clients’ business intelligence operations. We have a large specialty practice that covers packaging and downstream markets.Position profileThe Lead Analyst’s primary mandate will be to lead the analytical and forecasting functions of our consumer staples practice, including coverage of the global tissue and absorbent hygiene markets. The person will have the opportunity to be involved in the ongoing development of a new and growing service offering, influencing critical product decisions as well as helping design and implement an effective go-to-market strategy.While this is initially a lead-level individual contributor role, we are searching for a candidate that could swiftly transition into a Director-level management position once fully familiar with our products, methodology and workflow. This position will be in Montreal, and will require occasional travel to client sites and industry events globally.In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Analyze and forecast global supply and demand conditions, macroeconomic environment, international trade, manufacturing technologies, input cost developments etc.;Develop engaging and informative reports and presentations to relay findings to senior level managers for improved decision-making;Serve as a trusted client contact while delivering consummate customer service and relationship management;Support new business development and be involved in ad-hoc consulting projects;Present to clients mainly in North America and Europe.Our ideal candidate will be:An organized and strategic thinker with a proven interest in business;An effective communicator and presenter with superior, journalistic-level writing skills in English, who can effectively relay findings in a compelling and engaging manner;A team player with leadership skills;Someone with a self-starting, entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to contribute to the company’s long-term success.Our ideal candidate will have: 5+ years of experience covering the consumer staples, consumer packaging or materials sectors;Higher education in business, commerce, economics, business journalism or a relevant related discipline;Advanced knowledge of Excel;Fluency in French, Spanish or Portuguese is an asset.Analyste principal – Produits de consommation de base Une occasion unique de vous joindre à une firme de consultation en recherche économique ayant une large présence internationale Qui sommes-nous?Numera Analytics est un fournisseur de recherche macroéconomique et sectorielle. Profil de l’emploiLe mandat de l’Analyste principal consiste à guider les fonctions analytiques et prévisionnelles de l’équipe des produits de consommation de base, incluant les rapports sur le marché mondial des papiers sanitaires et des produits d’hygiène absorbante. La personne retenue jouera un rôle important dans le développement de notre offre de services et pourra ainsi influencer les orientations liées à ce segment. Elle contribuera également au design et la mise en œuvre de la stratégie marketing. Bien qu’il s’agisse initialement d’un rôle de leader, nous recherchons une personne pouvant éventuellement occuper un rôle de direction lorsqu’elle sera complètement familière avec nos produits, notre méthodologie et nos processus de travail. L’emploi se situe à Montréal et requiert des voyages internationaux occasionnels afin de visiter des clients ou d’assister à des congrès industriels. Dans ce rôle, vous pourrez:Analyser et prévoir les conditions d‘offre et de demande mondiales, l’environnement macroéconomique, le commerce international, les technologies de fabrication, l’évolution du coût des intrants, etc.;Développer des rapports et présentations pertinents qui communique les informations nécessaires à la prise de décisions par des gestionnaires séniors;Établir un contact-client privilégié et cultiver des relations d’affaires riches et diversifiées tout en livrant un service de premier ordre;Contribuer au développement commercial de l’entreprise et être impliqué∙e dans certains projets de consultation ad-hoc;Présenter à des clients principalement situés en Amérique du Nord et en Europe. Nous recherchons une personne : Organisée et stratégique, démontrant un intérêt prononcé pour le monde des affaires;Qui démontre des talents d’écriture de niveau journalistique en langue anglaise, et pouvant vulgariser et relayer de l’information complexe de manière convaincante;Possédant un fort esprit d’équipe ainsi que plusieurs compétences managériales;Démontrant un esprit entrepreneurial et la volonté de contribuer à la réussite à long-terme de l’entreprise. La personne idéale aura: Un minimum de 5 années d’expérience en analyse des marchés des produits de consommation de base, des papiers d’emballage ou des matériaux;Un niveau d’éducation supérieure en affaires, commerce, économie, journalisme d’affaires ou tout domaine connexe;Une connaissance avancée d’Excel;Une maîtrise parfaite de la langue anglaise;Une connaissance du français, de l’espagnol ou du portugais serait un atout.
