Our mission is to provide high-quality lithium products that meet thegrowing demand for electric vehicles and energy storage solutions, while maintaining thehighest standards of environmental responsibility.Position OverviewThe R&D Operations Specialist will work to design, construct, and operate test apparatus toachieve targeted data collection. The specialist will be a resource in developing newtechnologies, equipment troubleshooting, mechanical setup, process development at bench toprototype scale and problem resolution. This is a practical application role involving hands onwork.Key Responsibilities:Provide technical support to lab-based operations with a focus on continuous improvement of test apparatuses.Design, commission, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory-based process equipment.Act as a subject matter expert for the lab instrumentation and equipment set up.Develops new test apparatus designs to support the needs of the company’s strategic plan.Creates, modifies, and updates standard operating procedure reflecting method optimizations.Evaluates technical apparatus design to improve efficiency of operation and quality of data collected.Exercise analytical and problem-solving abilities on a regular basis with a mindset of continuous improvement.Meticulously gather performance data and maintain detailed records required for writing technical reports and presentations.QualificationsA Diploma in Instrumentation Technology or Electrical technology would be ideal.Power Engineering would be an asset.Chemistry background would be considered an asset.Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years of experience in a comparable role, ideally in an R&D or commercial lab environment.Proven experience in visualizing experiments, designing and executing to plan.Innovative thinking skillsHighly self-motivated and directed.Team oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment.Must be health and safety conscious with good lab practices.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products.Experience in method Development, sample handling and chain of custody.Familiar with P&ID, electrical, instrumentation and control system drawings.Keen understanding of QA/QCAbility to travel and work on site a required.If you are a motivated R&D Operations Specialist looking to make a significant impact in agrowing industry, we encourage you to apply.
