As the Legal Assistant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our legal support team. You will be responsible for managing and leading a team of Legal Assistants to provide effective support to our lawyers. This role requires a combination of leadership skills, legal expertise, and a commitment to excellence. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a hybrid working module in DTO.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and training of Legal Assistants.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to new and existing Legal Assistants.
  • Identify training needs and implement development programs to enhance team skills.
  • Manage workflow distribution and assignment of Legal Assistants to meet practice needs.
  • Coordinate coverage for absences and vacations to ensure seamless support.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Legal Assistants and Lawyers.
  • Lead the performance management process, including setting objectives and conducting reviews.
  • Provide timely feedback and support to Legal Assistants to enhance performance.
  • Address any performance issues or concerns in a proactive and constructive manner.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance efficiency.
  • Analyze workflow methods and recommend improvements to streamline operations.
  • Implement changes effectively and ensure adoption by the team.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience working as a Legal Assistant or Law Clerk.
  • 3+ years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
