Description:
The Materials Coordinator assists the Materials Manager with receiving, inspection, storage and transfer of all Burns & McDonnell and client procured materials and equipment to subcontractors at various project sites.
Coordinate the delivery of materials with suppliers and the receiving project site.
Verify the receipt and inspection of incoming shipments to ensure materials meet quality specifications.
Authorize driver's freight bills and compile receiving documents (packing lists, freight bills, bills of lading) as required by project procedures.
Analyze and assist with Material Receiving Reports (MRR) and Over, Short and Damaged reports (OS&D).
Coordinate the storage and maintenance of all materials and equipment.
Assist with and coordinate the day to day activities for the project site warehouse facilities.
Assist with and coordinate the day to day activities for the project laydown yards.
Facilitate the transfer of custody of materials and equipment to subcontractors at the project site
Performs other duties as assigned
Complies with all policies and standards


Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED and 7 years related experience in material control, receiving or expediting in the engineering and construction industry. Required
Good computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and good organizational skills with attention to detail.
Must be team oriented with the ability to work with little supervision.
