Our Calgary office is currently seeking an experienced paralegal to work with the Corporate Services team, reporting to the Supervisor, Corporate Services, Calgary. This individual will serve as a paralegal in support of our busy and growing corporate practice and manage substantive level business law transactions.
Drafting substantive legal documentation relating to corporate transactions for Alberta and Federal corporations including, but not limited to, incorporations, amalgamations, continuances, reorganizations, financings, dissolutions, revivals, amendments, and arrangements.
Conducting research and providing written analysis of findings.
8+ years experience as a corporate law clerk at a large law firm.
~ Possess a broad foundation of legal concepts, experience and applications relevant to the practice of Corporate Law, including extensive knowledge of the Business Corporations Act (Alberta) and the Canada Business Corporations Act.
~ Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
~ Previous experience with Athennian, EnAct and Oncorp will be considered a strong asset.
~ Excellent drafting and proofreading skills.
